Vancouver Real Estate Stats March.2020 – Housing Market: According to the Real Estate Report published on April 2 – home buying demand was increasing in the first 2 weeks of March; due to the Convid-19 – slow down。
REBGV reports that the residential home sales in the region totalled 2,524 in March 2020; which is 17.4 per cent increase from the 2,150 homes sold in February 2020.
But still, last month’s sales were 19.9 per cent below the 10-year March sales average.
The board’s President said that the first two weeks of the month were the busiest days of the year for our region with heightened demand and multiple offers becoming more common, but the Covid-19 situation in our province grew – market activities slow down.
Let’s take a look at the sales-to-active listings ratio:
- 21.3% for detached homes
- 33% for townhomes
- 28.9% for apartments
Total Sales in Detached homes, condo, and Townhouses:
- Detached home: 852, houses sold – 61.1% increase from March.2019
- Condo: 1,179apartments sold – 35.1% increase from March.2019
- Townhouse: 493 townhomes sold – 51.7% increase from March.2019
