Home Sale continues to increase in Aug.2020
Vancouver Real Estate Stats August.2020 – Housing Market: The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) reports that residential home sales in the region totalled 3,047 in Aug 2020, a 36.6 per cent increase from the 2,231 sales recorded in August 2019, and a 2.6 per cent decrease from the 3,128 homes sold in July 2020.
Last month’s sales were 19.9 per cent above the 10-year August sales average.
Let’s take a look at the sales-to-active listings ratio:
- 23.7% for detached homes
- 30.5% for townhomes
- 21.6% for apartments
Total Sales in Detached homes, condo, and Townhouses:
- Detached home: 1095, houses sold – 55.1% increased from August.2019 – The benchmark price for a detached home is $1,491,300
- Condo: 1332 apartment sold – 4.5% increased from August.2019 – The benchmark price of an apartment property is $685,800
- Townhouse: 620 townhomes sold – 51.6% increased from August.2019 – The benchmark price of an attached home is $806,400
