Chinese Real Estate Investors Move to Toronto | 中國地產投資者撤走?Due to slumped amid a flood of regulations, a group of Chinese real estate companies has moved from Vancouver to Toronto, such as Anbang Insurance Group.

According to CBRE Ltd’s data, Chinese investments in Vancouver dropped to $350 million in 2018; compared to 2016, which was 1 billion plus. Toronto took $526 million of Asian investments last year, which included an office building (256 million) purchased by Chinese investor Tigra Vista Inc.

Chinese investors are retreating globally following government restrictions on capital outflows in 2016. Due to a series of new taxes, Chinese investments dropped even more last year.
